George Russell has been confirmed as staying with Tildesley for a second season in FF1M.
The Brit has been one of the shining lights of the season, with FF1M commentator James Brickles regularly commenting on Russell single handedly carrying the team through the minefield of Friday Qualifying.
The press conference announcing the deal was a low key affair, with team boss Jake Tildesley making a short comment whilst calling in from his private jet on the way back from watching Bromley’s narrow victory over Barnsley.
“We are pleased to confirm that we have resigned George Russell for 2019” Tildesley said. “George has done brilliantly this season and we felt that he deserved to be retained by the team”
The future of Russell’s team mate Antonio Giovinazzi is less clear however with his FF1M future said to be hanging in the balance, and with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen available in the upcoming silly season could Tildesley land a surprise coup alongside Russell?
