Magnussen to remain with FJR for 2016

Following a rather unexpected 2nd place at Montreal, FJR has made the swift move to re-sign Kevin Magnussen for the 2016 season.

The Danish driver has scored all of FJR’s points so far this season, often picking up scraps with an uncompetitive but reliable car. He utilised Judd’s highest engine mode in Canada to outrace the two Tornado drivers and briefly lead on his way to his first podium finish of the season, a result which left team boss James Brickles “very very happy.”

When asked about the prospect of being the only team running Judd engines for the third season running, Brickles replied, “I suppose it’s a bit punk rock to have a ‘do-it-yourself’ mentality.”

Meanwhile, rumours of Charles Pic being replaced mid-season have started to circulate after another difficult race without points. Brickles has confirmed that the Frenchman has until the end of Monza to “Pic up the pieces.”
