The AFIA today revealed the list of oil partners to which the manufacturer teams of FF1M have signed with for the next era of FF1M which is due to last until the 2022 season.
AFIA spokesperson Angus McBarnes confirmed that all manufacturers had been partnered with their first choice oil supplier which “made things nice and easy for us”.
The list reveals that Climax, the engine of current Constructors Championship leaders Tornado, will use Total lubricants, whilst Ilmor and Mugen will use Petronas and Petrobras respectively. Finally, it is perhaps fitting that Yorkshire based manufacturers Judd and Megatron will both use lubricants from the Shell company, with Shell’s own logos appearing on the Judd powered FJR, whilst Pennzoil’s logo’s will appear on the Megatron powered Shake n Bake.
