Kubica returns to FF1M with Ajay

Ajay Motorsports today confirmed that Robert Kubica will take the final spot on the grid for 2017.

Robert Kubica has been without an FF1M race drive since the German Grand Prix where he was replaced by James Clark at Gojira, who is set to be the Polish driver’s team mate at the team.

Team boss Ajay Ecclescakes confirmed “Robert has been itching to get back behind the wheel and prove himself after a tough campaign and we believe the experience he brings will serve the team well as we develop this car and engine, and also help James with his development.”

It is understood that Kubica was not Ajay Motorsports first choice for the seat, however after positive discussions with another team, they elected to move on from their intended target. Ecclescakes would not be drawn on the speculation except to say that “We believe the decisions made are best for all involved.”
