Ilmor and Mugen were amongst the engine suppliers named by the AFIA tonight as the series governing body announced the technology partners who will supply engines to teams in 2014 and beyond.
Climax, Judd and Megatron complete the five strong line up who will supply engines to the FF1M teams in 2014, whilst Cosworth will be retained as the AFIA’s backup spec supplier charged with focusing on building a reliable version of the new V8 configuration.
The new engines will get their first run at an exclusive engine test at Monza at the beginning of testing for the 2014 season.
