1992 : AFIA announce calendar

Yesterday in Adelaide the AFIA announced a twelve round calendar for the 1992 FF1M Season.

The announcement confirms rumours that the calendar would be expanded for future “classic” seasons.

The 1992 season will begin by visiting South Africa’s Kyalami circuit for the first time before travelling to Mexico City for the second round of the campaign. The Spanish Grand Prix at Barcelona will then move ahead to the first week of May before the usual rounds at Imola and Monaco.

The “Classic” championship will then visit Canada’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the first time before returning to Europe for the French Grand Prix at Magny Cours ahead of the returning Belgian Grand Prix at Spa.

Monza and Estoril complete the European leg of the championship whilst the series then returns to Suzuka, Japan before the traditional finale at Adelaide.

The season will take place across December 2022 and January 2023 with all races live on the FF1M YouTube channel.
