Vergne switches to Tornado rivals Gojira

Gojira Autosport today announced the signing of Tornado race winner Jean-Eric Vergne for 2015.

The move comes as somewhat of a surprise with the frenchman willing to move to his previous team’s bitter rivals.

It is understood that Tornado boss Tobias had let Vergne know he was subject to requirements at the team, and a bidding war involving Gojira and Pedersen had taken place with both teams offering Vergne equal terms. A source close to the Frenchman confirmed that he had made the decision to sign with Gojira due to their standing in the championship.

Vergne completes Gojira’s line up for 2015 with Robert Kubica previously announced.
