Monolith make statement of intent with Verstappen signing

Monolith have signed highly-rated Dutch-Belgian Max Verstappen to join Esteban Ocon for their first season as a manufacturer team in 2019 following Verstappen’s exit from Willows after three seasons.

Verstappen is said to have been frustrated by the lack of progress with Willows over the past couple of seasons, and has welcomed the opportunity for a fresh start with Monolith, with the team’s upcoming Manufacturer status being key to his decision.

Verstappen finished as runner-up in the 2014-15 FF2M Asia season and followed that up with fourth place in the 2015 FF2M campaign in a hard fought championship fight against James Clark, Vaino Kimminen and Sam Bird.
