Two-time FF1M Champion Sebastian Vettel will join FJR for the 2019 season.
The German driver was one of the favorites for the title coming into 2018 after a strong showing by Andrew Racing during testing, however, whilst Vettel has taken three pole positions the car started the season with appalling reliability and has suffered from a lack of general race pace throughout which has led to him generally falling backwards even when the car finished races.
Vettel was also shocked not to receive any approach from his current team to renew his contract during the reneweal period and whilst a belated offer was put forward during the silly season, he has been looking enviously at the progress of FJR, including their near domination of the Hungarian Grand Prix event, and feels that they are the best bet for the new aero formula in 2019.
