FF1M teams will adhere to a budget cap for the 2012 season the AFIA announced today.
Each team will be forced to adhere to a cap of 100 credits when they make their driver and engine choices for the new season with driver salaries facing a dramatic reduction to ensure the teams are able to run two car teams.
Engine costs will also be reduced for the new season with each manufacturer starting from a blank piece of paper as they design drastically different powertrains from those used in the previous season.
FF1M is set to begin pre-season testing in August for its twentieth season.
