Following his spectacular crash during the Japanese Grand Prix, Gojira have confirmed that number two driver Erik Comas will sit out the Australian Grand Prix due to injury.
Comas will be replaced by Gojira Autosport test driver Roberto Moreno, who last raced for Tildesley in 1993 though he is best known for his shock victory in the 1990 British Grand Prix whilst driving for Pedersen.
The news comes as the AFIA confirmed no action will be taken in the contact between Comas and Tornado’s Eddie Irvine during the Japanese Grand Prix with the stewards classing the coming together as a “racing incident”.
