TornadoF1 test driver Valtteri Bottas set the fastest time as testing for the 2012 FF1M Season got underway today at Motorland Aragon.
The Finnish rookie, who will drive for the team’s junior outfit Spaniel in FF2M this season, set a time of 1m 34.922 seconds, just under two tenths of a second ahead of closest challenger Rio Haryanto in last season’s title winning Pedersen. Kevin Magnussen completed the top three for FJR two and a half tenths behind Bottas.
Of the new teams Antonio Felix da Costa was fastest setting the fifth quickest time for Willows Racing just over 3 tenths of a second behind Bottas.
The teams will now set about sifting through the gathered data before tomorrow’s final day of the first pre-season test at Aragon.
