Willows Racing’s Fernando Alonso set the fastest time in the combined 3-part Friday Practice session for Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Alonso was fastest in all three parts of practice across a total of 26 laps, the highest lap count of the session, with World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the Tornado setting the 2nd fastest time over 20 laps.
The length of the Yas Marina circuit posed problems for some of the teams with Sergio Perez failing to complete a lap in the 2nd part of the session, whilst Kamui Kobayashi was amongst four drivers who failed to set a time in the 3rd part of the session.
