The AFIA Indycar Series will return for the 2015 season the series organisers confirmed today with the publishing of a sixteen round calendar.
The most notable thing about the 2015 calendar is the lack of oval races, with only the Indianapolis 500 returning. In their place two new circuits have been added to the calendar including a street circuit based in New Jersey overlooking Manhattan. The new course was initially planned to be used for FF1M but for a lack of funding and opposition for local residents. Additionally, the series will visit the fast Road Atlanta circuit and return to Surfers Paradise and Laguna Seca as part of the changes.
