FFeM to use single-lap qualifying, 30 minute races

AFIA bosses today released further information on the upcoming FFeM series.

The first piece of news was that the season will begin in Adelaide instead of Long Beach as was originally announced. Long Beach will be the second round and will take place in the week leading up to the US Grand Prix (West). The season will end at an unspecified venue in July and season two will take place across 2012 and 2013 beginning with the Singapore ePrix in October and ending in June 2013.

The AFIA also announced that each race will be 30 minutes plus one lap in length and each driver will be required to make one pitstop. Qualifying will take place an hour before the race and will be a single lap shoot out with each car making its lap in reverse championship order.
