Farina steps up to FF1M with Gojira

FF2M championship challenger Alessandro Farina will step up to FF1M with Gojira in 2017 it emerged today.

The Italian, who has been part of Gojira’s Young Driver Programme since 2014, has excelled during his debut season in FF2M having dominated the FF3M championship in 2015.

“From the very first time I saw Alessando’s name in the roster for young drivers, in one of our scouting outings, I felt there was something special about him.” Gojira boss Gui Cramer told FF1M.co.uk. “Maybe it was early signs of aptitude, maybe it was his name, maybe it was just our team and his family meeting by chance at the local pizza place. Either way, the kid showed drive and we felt we should give him a chance in our youth program.

“In his very first FF3M session, Alessandro qualified in 2nd and went on to win the race. That was a great start.” Cramer continued, the new Father checking hastily written notes on the back of diaper carton. “But then he went on to win the FF3M title in impressive form, earning himself a spot in our FF2M squad to further hone his skill, replacing the recently-promoted James Clark. He has shown good maturity in a difficult season and is currently sharing the lead of the championship with another impressive rookie, Nolan Bryant, and throughout his free practice testing of our FF1M car, has put in some good performances.

“The FF2M season is not over yet but we have seen enough to believe Alessandro to be part of Gojira’s future, and as such we wanted to show our faith on his talent and commitment to his development by giving him one of our FF1M seats. Part of his compensation and signing bonus comes in the form of a substantial amount of handmade pizzas to be shared with his family from our favourite local spot, Hugo’s Pizza, and match tickets to all of FC Internazionale’s home games at the Giuseppe Meazza.”
