Former Willows Indy and Horizon FF2M driver Conor Daly will replace Jacques Villeneuve from Mid Ohio, it emerged today.
Villeneuve and team Ajay Motorsports have agreed to part by mutual consent following a disapointing return to single seaters by the Canadian who lies 19th in the series standings having scored 111 points.
Villeneuve will remain with the team for his home race, the Honda Indy Montreal, next weekend.
Villeneuve is a veteran of 149 FF1M Grands Prix, of which he took 7 pole positions and 6 race victories, finishing runner up in the 1997 FF1M Season.
Meanwhile Daly, 23, is a relative newcomer to the sport and will hoping that a good showing in the remaining five races of the season will lead to a full time seat in 2015.
