Ajay Motorsports today announced that they will continue to administer the Hart engines in 2018.
The AFIA along with Ajay Motorsports had intended on passing administration of the Hart concern to another team for 2018 and this intention was included within the entry form for the 2018 season. However, after discussions with another manufacturer team, the AFIA are to instead conduct a review of the engine formula ahead of entry for the 2019 season. It was felt that giving a new manufacturer just one season before potentially changing the formula would not be fair, and so Ajay will continue to develop the Hart engine.
This news comes ahead of the closure of entries for the 2018 season, and with Pedersen set to leave the grid at the end of the season their replacement(s) should be known shortly after entries close.
