Raikkonen moves to Mitchell

A yawning Kimi Raikkonen has put talk of retirement to bed as he has signed for Mitchell Racing for 2019.

What is more it has emerged that Raikkonen is set to leave Ajay Motorsports and replace Chuck Bucknum for the upcoming European Grand Prix at Brno next weekend.

Whilst Bucknum has shown flashes of pace throughout the season, he has struggled to put points on the board scoring just one points finish at his home Grand Prix in Road America whilst team mate Lewis Hamilton is in ninth place with a couple of podium finishes to his name.

It is understood that Raikkonen will be replaced for the rest of the season at Ajay Motorsports by Genjo Tse, who raced for Mitchell’s sister team Albean in FFeM, although the team has not qualified for a race since the British Grand Prix with the team no longer developing its car after having announced its decision to leave the series at the end of the campaign.
