The AFIA unveiled the calendar for the 2015 FF1M Season on Saturday.
The announcement confirmed the return of the San Marino Grand Prix to the schedule albeit at a new venue, the Mugello circuit in Tuscany. The returning race fills the open slot from the provisional calendar which was released some months ago.
The release of the calendar also confirmed that the Singapore Grand Prix will be discontinued after the 2014 season whilst the Malaysian and Chinese Grands Prix move to the end of the calendar, grouping with the Japanese Grand Prix to form an East Asian block at the end of the calendar. The Mexican and Brazilian GPs meanwhile move to the beginning of the calendar in their place.
AFIA boss Ajay said “We’ve tried to align the calendar to be more sustainable whilst taking into account the climatic conditions of each region.
