Sergio Perez will join Tornado in 2016 the team announced today.
Perez will drive alongside young-driver Tomas Gonzalez in the team, replacing championship leader Fernando Alonso whose demands were “taking the piss” according to team boss Tobias Wolff.
The Mexican driver has had a unsung but promising season for Pedersen this campaign, whilst the car is acknowledged to be slow, he has succeeded in matching team mate Romain Grosjean who was a championship challenger in 2015.
Perez joined the FF1M grid in 2010 with the much missed Shannon team before moving to Shake n Bake in 2012. He then moved to Gojira for 2013, taking his maiden victory at the Canadian Grand Prix of that year, before moving to Exolite and Pedersen.
